Our Services

In Person and Virtual Psychotherapy

In person therapy provides a traditional, in-depth therapeutic experience with direct interpersonal engagement, while virtual psychotherapy is delivered through HIPAA compliant online platforms, allowing clients to access therapy remotely, fostering convenience and overcoming geographical barriers. Both services aim to provide mental health support and intervention tailored to individual needs in a safe and supportive environment.

Child and Adolescent Therapy

Child and adolescent therapy is a specialized form of mental health treatment tailored to the unique needs of young individuals, addressing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges they may face. Therapists utilize various modalities such as play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and family therapy to support healthy development and resilience. Family involvement, cultural competence, and evidence-based practices are central to effective interventions in child and adolescent therapy.

Nature Informed Therapy

Nature Informed Therapy is an experiential process where the therapist guides the client through traditional talk therapy, utilizing evidenced-based, therapeutic interventions while introducing the healing benefits of nature. Sessions can look different depending on your needs, goals, and abilities. They can vary from meditations focused on nature while sitting in the office, sitting in a park talking, strolling along a forest path, or more immersive experiences involving the natural environment.

Trauma and Grief Counseling

Trauma counseling addresses the emotional aftermath of distressing events, employing techniques like cognitive-behavioral therapy to help individuals process and manage trauma. At Riverstone, our clinicians understand and respect that trauma can be very complex, and its effects can be interlaced throughout many stages of the healing process. Grief counseling focuses on assisting individuals in coping with the emotional pain and adjustment challenges associated with the loss of a loved one, often involving talk therapy and support groups to facilitate healthy mourning and adjustment to life without the deceased person.

Perinatal Mental Health Support

Perinatal mental health care focuses on the mental well-being of individuals during the perinatal period, which includes pregnancy and the first postpartum year. It addresses the emotional and psychological challenges that can arise during this time, such as prenatal and postpartum depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders. Perinatal mental health care aims to support individuals in maintaining good mental health during pregnancy and the transition to parenthood, promoting the well-being of both the parent and the infant.

Marriage and Family Counseling

Marriage and family counseling is a form of psychotherapy that focuses on helping couples and families navigate and resolve conflicts, improve communication, and enhance overall relationship dynamics. Our trained therapists work with couples or entire family units to address a range of issues, including relationship strain, communication breakdowns, parenting challenges, and conflicts. The goal is to foster healthier relationships, promote understanding, and equip individuals and families with the skills needed to cope with and overcome difficulties.

Our Practice

At RIVERSTONE, our clinicians are dedicated to offering a safe space, free from the judgements of the outside world. We want our clients to feel they have an open, trusting, and supportive environment in which to share, so that they might begin the process of healing. No matter the speciality or modality, our clinicians want you to feel heard and understood. Only then can you begin your path back to a more authentic, healthy, and fulfilled life.

Mental health challenges affect the whole family. When one person in a family is struggling, the other members of that family are not immune to the struggles. Providing support to the family unit as a whole, whatever that may look like, is an important part of healing process. Whether that support be toward the parent of a struggling adolescent or the child of a struggling parent, a common understanding is critical in the development of healthy functioning within the family. Learning to heal together can increase that understanding and the strength of the family unit.
